Jon Gibbs now lives in New Jersey, where he gives writing presentations and workshops in schools and libraries around the Garden State. His humorous talk, GETTING PUBLISHED: 10 Things Every Writer Should Know, was broadcast on local television in 2012.

D.C. Stone lives in the north-east with her incredibly supportive husband, two kids, and the All-American black Labrador puppy. She'll deny any association with the grumpy cat that also resides in the house, but he is there, never-the-less.
After serving eight years with the United States Air Force, she went on to transition into the world of Financial Crimes and became a lead investigator for many years.
Now, when she isn't trying to solve a new puzzle in the world of fraud, she is engulfed with coffee, her laptop, and all those crazy characters in her head.

E. F. Watkins
specializes in paranormal suspense, and since 2003 has published seven novels with Amber Quill Press LLC. Her first, Dance with the Dragon, received a 2004 EPPIE Award from the national organization EPIC (Electronically Published Internet Connection) as Best Horror Novel.

Next came the romantic mystery, Ride a Dancing Horse (as "Eileen Watkins"). 
Her third book, Black Flowers, was a Finalist in the Thriller category for both the 2006 EPPIEs and the 2007 Indie Excellence Book Awards.

Rabbi Ilene Schneider, Ed.D., one of the first women rabbis ordained in the U.S., hasn't decided what she wants to be when she grows up. She is currently Coordinator of Jewish Hospice for Samaritian Hospice, Marlton, NJ, where she lives with her husband, Rabbi Gary Gans, and two "millenial" sons.

Kaitlyn Lavender grew up on the Jersey Shore and attended St. Rose High School in Belmar. She graduated from American University in 2006 with a BA in Journalism and from the University of Miami in 2007 with an MA in Print Journalism/Online Media. She has written for several new outlets including The Miami Herald, Key Biscayne Magazine and The Coaster Newspaper. She currently writes freelance and maintains the photography site, Cinder Block Sandcastles is her first book.

Susan Puder has been a serious nature and wildlife photographer for over 30 years. Her work has been exhibitied in New York City and throughout New Jersey, winning many photo competitions, including the New Jersey Federation of Camera Club's TOPS in New Jersey. She is a Field Contributor to Nature Photographer Magazine, with articles published in the Spring and Winter 2012 issues.

Susan is a dedicated environmentalist who supports the preservation of open lands and wildlife. As an avid birder, she started the Southern Ocean Birding Group, located at the Tuckerton Seaport in Tuckerton, New Jersey.

Rosaleen Rooney Myers lives in Passaic County where she writes novels of paranormal mystery and suspense.

Cathy Tully writes Sweet Romance, Contemporary Romance and Women's Fiction. Prior to romance, she wrote a children's non-fiction book titled, Nebraska for Kidhaven Press in 2004. Her first Sweet Romance, All You Need is Love, is available through Astraea Press and at the Paperback Exchange. Her first novella, Marrying Mr. Right, is available through The Wild Rose Press. Her next release, Training Travis, a contemporary romance available through The Wild Rose Press, will be a summer 2013 release.

A Member of Romance Writer's of America and the Liberty States Fiction Writers, Cathy is a firm believer in continually honing her craft. Karen Okulicz has hosted and produced the radio show, "Workline." She provides workshops from her books throughout the country and is a continued guest in the media. Her books have been translated into a dozen languages. She resides in New Jersey at the beach where she is finishing book four.

K.M. Fawcett is a born romantic. At six years old she would beg her parents to take her to a restaurant with "Soft music and candles" where she could drink Shirley Temples and twirl on the dance floor. When she received A Knight in Shining Armor, by Jude Deveraux, for  her eighteenth birthday, she fell in love...with the romance genre.

Now K.M. writes sci-fi and paranormal romances and enjoys stories filled with adventure and strong, kick butt heroes and heroines.

K.M. holds the rank of Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in both Isshinryu Karate and in Ryukonkai (Okinawan weapons). She and her husband own Tenchi Isshinryu Karate Dojo in New Jersey. When she is not writing or working out at the dojo, K.M. is home with her two children and two cats.

Kristin Battestella writes for her hometown newspaper, "The Cumberland County Reminder," and has been writing non-fiction, speculative fiction, dark fantasy, paranormal, and horror for almost twenty years. Along with numerous sports articles, print essays, online reviews, and pen name fiction, Kristin's first eBook was published in 2005. 

She is a member of the New Jersey Author's Network,, the Friends of the Mount Laurel Library and has attended the Philadelphia and Collingswood Book Festivals and the Muse Online Writer's Conference.

Wayne "Ted" Bell
lives in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.
He is semi-retired from a nearly 50-year career in environmental research, historical report preparation and education, and is a noted speaker in New Jersey. He is recognized for his lectures and demonstrations on such subjects as American pattern glass of 1830 to 1910, stained-glass windows, Victorian architecture, wildflowers of New Jersey and the history of camp meetings.

Ted is still actively involved in the Ocean Grove Historical Society and has collaborated in writing a number of publications detailing the history of Ocean Grove. He regularly gives walking tours of the town filled with interesting, little-known anecdotes and information.



Merry Brennan lives in New Jersey, where she dreamed of a grown-up life writing books. But then she got sidetracked – as a journalist, activist, columnist, artist, communications consultant, naturalist, adjunct professor and elected official (yep, no kidding.) But she finally returned to her story-telling roots with the publication of her debut biographical
novel, Peace Pilgrim: walking her talk against hate. She’s finishing another realistic fiction, Mystery Scars. Merry enjoys giving Author talks/Presentations for schools, book clubs and groups.

D.L. Carter

was decanted from her incubation pod in the outback of Australia
many decades ago. This terrifying event was closely followed by shrieks of, “there, there it  goes. Hit it with a brick!”

These valiant attempts to correct the existence of D.L. were, unfortunately, unsuccessful and she now resides in New Jersey, US., in a box with her toys, two human beings and three cats.

Jennifer Hubbard lives and writes near Philadelphia. She is a night person who believes that mornings were meant to be slept through, a chocolate lover, and a hiker. She will read almost anything, but prefers to write short stories and young-adult novels. Her books, The Secret Year and Try Not to Breathe, were published by Viking/Penguin.

Louis Picone
lives in Roxbury, New Jersey and has traveled to all fifty states to visit historic presidential sites. After finding it difficult to find books about the birthplaces of the presidents, he decided to write one himself! His book, Where the Presidents Were Born, provides the history of the birthplace of every American president from George Washington to Barack Obama. It details the preservation efforts, visitor information, and includes personal observations which will make you more informed than any tour guide.

Kit Grindstaff
was born near London and grew up in the rolling countryside of England. After a brief brush with pop stardom (under her maiden name, Hain), she moved to New York and embarked on her successful career as a song writer. Kit now lives with her husband in the rolling countryside of Pennsylvania.

The Flame In The Mist, a spooky, magical fantasy for middle grade readers ages 9 to 90, is her first book. (Delacorte Press.)

J.B. DiNizo grew up in Vermont but has lived in New Jersey for most of her adult life. She is a retired school librarian and writes a column for
Bookmark, the school librarians' monthly newsletter.

Artie Bennett is the executive copy editor for a children's book publisher and he writes a little on the side (but
not the backside!).

His first "mature" work,
The Butt Book, was showered with praise and won the prestigious Reuben Award for Book Illustration. His "number two" picture book, fittingly entitled Poopendous!, was nominated for a Cybils Award for Best Nonfiction Picture Book. What more fertile topic could there be but poop!

He lives deep in the bowels of Brooklyn, New York, and is pleased to share the visionary promise of
The Butt Book and Poopendous! with a wider audience. His third picture book, Peter Panda Melts Down!, illustrated by John Nez, will be coming out in the spring of 2014.

Nicole Caruso LaBrocca grew up in NJ. Eat Your Vegetables! is Nicole's first book, and she is planning to publish more in the “Next Time” series. Nicole is also working on a young adult series involving magic and mystery. A graduate from The Richard Stockton College of NJ, Nicole currently lives in NJ with her husband and daughter. She is active in sports and has done Capoera and Roller Derby in the past and is currently playing soccer. Christy Sloat is a Southern California native who now lives in New Jersey with her husband and two daughters. She believes that reading is a passion and it should be embraced. She is literally obsessed with reading and tries to fit as many books in as possible.

Katherine Polillo originally planned to grow-up and run away with the circus, but after realizing that she had a debilitating fear of heights that squashed her dreams of being a tight-rope walker, she instead pursued a career in education.  She currently teaches high school history and fabricates fictional stories in her free time. 

She never really out grew her imaginary friends stage, and instead has created lives and stories for the creations of her imagination to live in.  When she is present in reality and not off on an adventure with her imaginary friends, she lives in a small, New Jersey town with her husband and their two spoiled rotten, ungrateful cats.


Poonam Chawla grew up in Mumbai, India and lives in New Jersey with her husband and two amazing sons. Her love affair with writing started at the age of ten when she got her first award in grade school for an essay titled: "Why the world need explorers." She honed her skills as a copywriter and communications manager before she wrote "The Shenanigans of Time."
