No trade necessary for purchase!

Located in beautiful Belmar NJ on the corner of Pyanoe Plaza, right next door to the Bagel Cafe and Brandl Restaurant. Plenty of free parking in the Belmar Plaza (Belmar Mall) lot between the Train Station and the back of Freedman's Bakery. Come in, make yourself at home. Bring your coffee, your curiosity and your used paperbacks to trade.

~Exchange Policies~

25% of the publisher price credited for all paperback books that have publication dates within the last six months.

10% of the publisher price given for older books.

Credit may be used to purchase any half price used book in the store (with the exception of New Table/special sale books), or a card with your credit amount will be issued to use on future visits. Cards do not expire and are the responsibility of the customer.

We offer Store credit* only for all acceptable books brought in for trade. We do NOT purchase books outright.

We DO NOT accept the following:
Water damaged or moldy books
Smelly books
Books that are falling apart or missing covers/pages
Textbooks
Magazines/Comic Books
~We reserve the right to decline to trade based on our inventory or condition of trade books.

***Some hardcovers are acceptable on a mercy mission basis ONLY. Current authors in great condition MAY be accepted as long as there is room on the table. No credit will be given for hardcovers. We offer you the opportunity to find them new homes rather than throw them away.***

We carry used fiction and non-fiction books, every genre from romance to horror, spirituality to science, history to science fiction. If you're seeking a particular used book give us a call before you drop in and we can let you know if it's in stock. Our inventory is constantly changing.

*Patrons are responsible for the care and safekeeping of their cards.
Credit can not be used toward the purchase of special discount books or New Table books.

~ Specials ~

To make room for all the wonderful used books being traded some of our more well used books must go. Paperback Exchange will be holding monthly one week special deals where a selection of paperbacks of a specific type/genre will be showcased and sold for as low as TEN CENTS each! The last week of each month is special week.

Year round we have a HUGE quantity of books on our outdoor cart and in our 'secret back room' that are marked down to just 25 cents each or 5 for $1.00! The stock rotates regularly as well-used books are marked down and added to the inventory. Back room/cart books are marked with a black stripe across the bottom of the spine. They are returnable if you would like, but do not receive further store credit.

*** Summer Reading books from ALL age groups now available!***

Bring in your previous years summer reading used books, get credit, and if you like - for Summer Reading book customers ONLY - we will keep your credit card on file for you to pick up next summer to use for NEXT YEAR'S books.
